Subscriptions and invoices

Plans and their limits

Your plan sets what your account can run: the number of instances, the space for your files and your databases, and the level of service. Plans are compared on the LizPack plans page, opened from Subscriptions in the sidebar.

Each card shows the plan's price and tagline; See all the features unfolds the list of its limits. The Monthly / Yearly switch above the cards changes the prices shown. The table below reflects the current grid; if they ever differ, the screen is what counts.

The plans page: your current plan at the top, then one card per plan, monthly or yearly.

The Free plan is a trial: it lasts the number of days shown on its card and can only be activated once per account. The yearly price is worth ten months of the monthly price. Enterprise is discussed with us: its Contact us button opens support.

Storage limits cover all your instances together: your files on one side, your databases on the other. What happens when you go over them is described in the quotas.

Subscribing, changing plan, cancelling

Everything goes through Subscriptions, in the sidebar. The page gathers four cards: LizPack plans for your hosting, Database plans for dedicated databases, My subscriptions and Invoices. A team member only gets in with the View billing permission.

At the top of LizPack plans, the Current plan banner gives your plan's name, its price and the time left (Expires in). Click it to see the Subscribed, Renewal and Expiry dates. Your plan's card carries the Active badge.

Subscribing or moving up

  1. Choose Monthly or Yearly above the cards.
  2. On the card of the plan you want, choose Bank card or Mobile Money, then tick J'accepte les conditions d'utilisation and the billing policy.
  3. Click the card's button: Choose this plan, or Passer à followed by the plan's name when it is above yours. For the Free plan, it reads Activate the free plan: no payment, and you are taken to the dashboard with the deployment window open.
  4. Make the payment: see card and Mobile Money.

The new plan applies as soon as the payment is confirmed. You pay its full price, but the time left on the old one is not lost: its value is converted into days added to the new one, in proportion to the two prices. One month left of Basic at 10 USD thus adds about fifteen days of Pro at 20 USD. If you move up by card, the automatic charge of the old plan is cancelled.

The button on your own plan

On your plan's card, the button depends on how you pay. With automatic card renewal, it reads Current plan and does nothing: renewal happens by itself. Paid by Mobile Money or by licence key, it offers Extend my plan, which pays for a new period and keeps the time left. On a monthly subscription you can Switch to yearly; the reverse is refused (Already yearly). During the trial, the Free card reads Trial under way.

A plan below yours shows Downgrade not possible: you cannot move down while the subscription is running. To reduce, cancel the renewal and choose the lower plan once the subscription has ended; your instances must then fit within its limits.

Cancelling

Cancelling is done in My subscriptions, which lists your plan and your dedicated databases. Cancel only appears there for a subscription that renews automatically, that is one paid by card, and it asks for your account password. Nothing stops right away: you are no longer charged, and the plan stays active until the end of the paid period. A subscription paid by Mobile Money or by key has nothing to cancel: it ends by itself on its due date.

My subscriptions: your plan, then your dedicated databases, each with its status, dates and amount.

Moving to another plan ends the card renewal of the old one, whatever the payment method of the new one: you are no longer charged for it.

Due date, expiry and suspension

A subscription has an end date, shown in the Current plan banner and in My subscriptions. Paid by card, it renews by itself on that date. Paid by Mobile Money or by licence key, it stops, unless you extend it beforehand.

We write to you before the due date: seven, three, two and one day before for a paid subscription, two days and one day before for the free trial, then on the day itself. When a card renewal fails, we wait three days, while the payment is retried, before concluding.

The three situations that stop your instances

SituationWhat you seeWhat stopsTo start again
Subscription or trial expiredThe Subscription expired badge on your instancesAll your instances, database includedSubscribe again or activate a licence key
Quota exceededThe Quota exceeded banner on the plans page, the same badge on the instancesThe web services of your instances, or the extra instances entirelyFree up space, delete an instance or move up a plan
Suspension by our teamThe Subscription suspended banner on the plans page, the Subscription expired badge on the instancesAll your instancesWrite to support

Stopping is not erasing: your projects, files and databases stay in place. After an expiry, deploying or starting an instance opens a window offering Renew my subscription, or Upgrade after a trial. As soon as a new subscription is active, your instances restart by themselves.

A quota overrun has nothing to do with the date: it is enough for your usage to go above the plan's limits. Everything restarts by itself once you are back below them; the details, and what not to do in the meantime, are in the quotas.

Activating a licence key

A licence key activates or extends a subscription without paying online. It is a code shaped like XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX, made of capital letters and digits. It is bought on our store: the Buy a key link in the activation window leads there, as does the License keys section of the Marketplace.

  1. Open LizPack plans and click I have a licence key, under any paid offer: the key, not the card you picked, decides the plan.
  2. Paste the key into the Licence key field, then click Check the key.
  3. The Confirm the activation window says what will happen: New subscription, or Subscription extension with the Current end and the New end.
  4. Tick the confirmation box and click Confirm the activation.

If the key carries your current plan, its duration is added to your due date. If it carries a higher plan, that plan replaces the old one at once, and the time left is converted into days as in a plan change. A key for a lower plan is refused, as is a monthly key on a running yearly subscription. An invoice is issued on activation and an email confirms it.

A key can only be used once and is not refundable after activation. If your plan also renews by card, extending with a key does not stop that renewal: cancel it in My subscriptions so as not to pay twice for the same period.

Paying by card or by Mobile Money

The payment method is chosen on each plan's card, when you subscribe. There is nothing to register beforehand: your details are entered with the payment provider, never in the client area.

Mobile MoneyYearly onlyNone: you extend it yourselfIn the FedaPay window, in CFA francs

Card

After Choose this plan or Passer à, you leave the client area for Stripe's secure payment page. Once paid, you come back to LizPack plans with a confirmation message, and the subscription is activated within moments. If you give up, nothing is charged and the pending subscription is cancelled. The charge then repeats on each due date, until you cancel.

Mobile Money

Choosing Mobile Money switches the prices to Yearly and greys out Monthly: this method pays one year at a time. The FedaPay payment window opens over the page. The amount there is in CFA francs, converted from the dollar price and rounded up to the next ten thousand. There is no automatic renewal: before the due date, come back to your plan's card and click Extend my plan.

Invoices

Invoices gathers everything you have paid: LizPack subscriptions and their renewals, dedicated databases, LizPack Field, instance upgrades and licence keys. An invoice is issued for each confirmed payment and each key activation; the free trial produces none.

The invoice history: search, filters by type and payment, and a receipt to download on each line.

Each line gives the date, type, amount, status, method and invoice number. Search works on the number, the amount or the date; two lists filter by type (All types) and by payment method (All payments); Reset clears the filters.

PDF downloads the invoice; for a card payment, it opens the invoice issued by Stripe. Voir, shown for card payments, opens that invoice online. A greyed-out PDF means the document is not available yet: if it stays that way, write to support.
